Defra has announced its 2026 Capital Grants offer, with funding increasing to £225 million, which opens in July.
The scheme will support those in England looking to invest in environmental improvements, such as fencing, hedgeworks and concreting, to name a few.
Despite this year's increased budget, we are expecting the Application window to be open for just a few short weeks. Applicants can submit one application per Single Business Identifier.
Defra is currently finalising the list of items that will be available in this year's offer. We expect the full list to be published in May, alongside further guidance. For now, we are preparing applications along the same lines as last year, so that we can quickly review as soon as we have the scheme guidance confirmed.
Just the same as 2025, items will fall into two main groups, with each category capped. Boundary items are capped at £35,000, with Water category items capped at £25,000, to make a total Application value of up to £60,000.
Demand is expected to be very high, so if you are interested in applying during this window, please contact us here now.
