The scheme is competitive and had strong demand in 2025. It is important to ensure your application scores highly to improve your chances of success.
Guidance has now been published confirming details on specific items and funding.
The application window is due to open on 17th March for 6 weeks only, with the deadline to apply; 12pm on 28th April.
The full list of items available and their specifications are in the links below:
Productivity items - £1,000 - £25,000
Slurry Management items - £1,000 - £25,000
Animal Health & Welfare items - £1,000 - £25,000
You can apply for all three grants, so you could receive up to £75,000.
The RPA will pay up to 50% of the cost, depending on the item. This funding will go towards either:
- The average cost of the item - if an item costs you the same or more than the expected average cost on the item lists
- The actual cost you pay for the item - if an item costs you less than the expected average cost on the time list
There have been a few small changes this year, scoring uplifts have been removed, and some items have been added or removed. Previous claimants to the scheme are eligible to apply.
What should you do now?
You can pay a refundable deposit, but must not purchase any item before you have received a Grant Funding Agreement.
Should you wish to proceed with making an application
We would be delighted to:
- Register for the new Farming Investment Fund application service
- Submit an application on your behalf
- Accept the Grant Funding Agreement (GFA)
- Review evidence and submit the claim on your behalf
For this we charge £950 + VAT, invoiced only when the grant has been offered. If the grant application is not successful for any reason, we will not invoice.
We are offering a £200 discount if all correct claim information is submitted to us within 4 months of receiving the Grant Offer. We will confirm the timing on presenting the Grant Agreement.
In order to keep prices low for as many people as possible; should there be an amendments or requests to extend the claim window, we may recover unforeseen costs through a surcharge of £450 + VAT.
Applications for over four items per theme, may be subject to a review of the service fee, agreed before submission.
